Baby is here!

My nephew, Keola Maeda was born last night, December 30, 2007 at 9pm. He came into this world weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches long. His mommy and daddy are so proud as are the rest of his family. :)

The Terrific Akaus

I was asked by my good friend Dorian to take pictures of her family for their Christmas cards. I was only too happy to oblige. They were such fun to photograph and they went along with the crazy suggestions that I made. You can tell by the photos that they are a fun bunch. I also took pictures of Dorian's mom and dad. I loved watching them because their affection for each other is so apparent. Also, some pics of Dori and her mom. Dorian has the most personality of anyone I know and she is a blast to hang out with.

Christmas Card Pictures

I took my cousins to Liliuokalani Garden to take pictures for their Christmas Cards. I tried to take pics in places that didn't look like Tea Garden since so many family portraits are taken there already. I think it went well. My favorite is the last picture.

Beautiful Bride

My brother got married this weekend. These pictures are mostly of the bride, Maluhia. She is so beautiful.

For their shoot, I took Nahum, Malu, & Kawehena to Coconut Island. It was a beautifully overcast day and they had fun playing hand-games and chasemaster. Such a good-looking family. :)

Reading at Starbucks

I took my little sister to Borders to read and spend some time with her. She immediately headed for the anime section, grabbed a few books, and promptly began to ignore me (after I bought her cocoa) for the next half hour but I drank half her cocoa so perhaps we're even? After her book, though, we had a good time looking through books and speaking with british and southern accents ... and contrary to what she might tell you, I can't speak German.

My Grandma

My grandma is a beautiful woman. We were sitting and chatting in her room and I knew I had to get a picture of her with one of her walls in the background. She is such an interesting person and her rooms reflect that. The masks and butterfly drapes are just a sample of what the rest of her rooms look like.

Joe + Chardan

I took pictures of my friends at Honoli'i Beach. We made the most of this location, using the length of the beach, some stairs, and a bridge. The sun was pretty harsh during our session, but the shadows provided great opportunities to try different things.
